We had a fabulous Website In-a-Day workshop in Brisbane on Saturday 29th January 2011. The class consisted of a wide range of diverse people both in age and technical ability, and there was plenty of positive interaction.
We were able to cover pretty much everything we had planned for the day. And had some very positive feedback from happy new website owners. The course consisted of short explanation blocks followed by hands on implementation of what they have learned.
By following the steps shown to them the class members were able to learn whist doing. Each person was able to choose and register their own domain for 2 years, sign up for a years hosting and upload the software and proceed to build their very own fully functional website. They learnt how to add pages, posts, content, images, and add a custom contact form.
With the aid of the Website In-a-Day step by step workbook and software USB they left with all the tools to repeat the process again and again if they wish, giving them the ability to work further on their sites or to create new ones. We are looking forward to conducting the next Website In-a-Day course and are committed to making it the best course of its kind available in Australia.
